Google AdSense (3)

Well, somehow it does work a bit. Some of you read my first parts about Google AdSense. The little advertisings that people can place on their blogs and websites to earn a little cash. Because of the two previous postings the result was that the acount suddenly contained 10 US$ extra. Not that I get it. Only when US$ 100,- is reached Google will pay out a month later. I will let you know how this works out. It is a funny experiment. Maybe somewhere in the year 2008 I will get lucky and even earn something......

Maciunas Artistamps.

Another sample of a set of Artistamps in the TAM-Archive. Actually a historic sheet. MAde by Maciunas and sent to me by Jon Hendrickx (NY, USA). Fluxus related stuff.

Artistamps by Ruud Janssen & Darlene Altschul.

This is a nice example of how through collaborations beautiful artistamps can be crated. I sent Darlene Altschul (USA) one of my painted envelopes. She used on of the figures of the envelope to create a series of artistamps for me, which I then again used on my outgoing mail. Of course I saved one sheet for my archive of Artistamps. There are over 3000 sheets in this part of the TAM-Archive.

Sheila Holz - USA

Today I received this envelope from Sheila Holz. She wasa close friend of Bern Porter in Maine (USA). She recently moved and no longer has access to e-mail and Internet. She wondered if there are any mail-artists left who do the snail-mail........

In the envelope she also sent her newest magazine, which I digitized for you....

Google AdSense (2)

As you might have noticed I am now testing the Google tool AsSense. I'm not the first one as I have noticed on the several blogs. Does it work? We will see. In the first month I learned that it doesn't make anybody rich. But Google itself does earn a lot. The programm is also secured. The IP number I use for my access the Internet is blocked for me (So I can't click on the advertisements to earn money). Also if someone reloads the page it isn't counted. So what I do now and then, at sites from friends I see have the same software installed, is click on one of that advertisings. Yes, you made that extra buck so you might be able to buy an extra postagestamp. How much I earned the last mont through this? Actually US$ 2,31 , and here comes the thrick; Google only pays when you made your first US$ 100,- and then you get a cheque. That might take a few years?

Are there any other Google Sense users out there who can tell me their experiences?

Google AdSense

On my main site www.iuoma.org there are nowadays TWO adverts from stampfirms placed there by Google AdSense. I am not allowed to tell you that I get money when you click on those links. If you would like to help me pay the bills for my postagestamps you might want to click on these links...... But Google doesn't like it when people tell you that.

Mail-Art activities for today (20-7-2006)

Because I wanted to thank some mail-artists for their mail, a large sending of envelopes went out today. Their journey has started already..... Posted by Picasa
Attached to the mail-art card from Angela and Petra Kustermann was a card from the Dutch postal office. They hadn't noticed that there were postagestamps on both sides of the card and they try to charge the 'extra' costs on me. I always enjoy these bonus-attachments to my mail-art.  Posted by Picasa
Mail-art card I received today from Angela and Petra Kustermann. They seem to be on a Netmail Biketour near the Bodensee. Posted by Picasa
My reply sent to Silvio. In contains 3 interview-booklets and a letter. Hopefully he will get it soon. Posted by Picasa

How new blogs work

With the new blog I launched I also noticed how things work. I had build is a statistic programm and found out that on the first day immediately dozens of visitors came. Blogger makes PR for the new blogs and places them on top for the list where visitors 'hop' to. Funny to see how in no time people from al kind of countries come to such a new created site. I now made links from my other blogs to the new blog and will find out if it is interesting or. It is actually a collection of one of the side-lines in my work that resulted in quite a large collection. Should I make more collections available like this? Is the world waiting for things like that? Me & you will find out.

Mail to Litsa Spathi

In the last years Litsa Spathi and me had an intense correspondence. I received lots of letters from her (mostly with drawings and collages on them). Litsa received also the largest collection of my acrylic painted envelopes. Now all corrsepondence is archived in Breda. Most of it is digitized as well, and ready for publication. We just have to find a form for it. Would a blog be a good way? We will see.

Mail to Litsa Spathi - 2001 Posted by Picasa

In the last years sometimes whole series were conceived. Both by Litsa (who started this production of series) and me. Above an illustration of a series that I documented before I began to send out every single envelope. Sometimes the envelopes also can be joined together as a complete image. More illustrations will follow.
