mail from Ray Johnson - USA

This posting requires some explenation. When Ray Johnson was still alive, he was one of the persons I interviewed in my mail-interview project (see: http://jas.faximum.com/library/tam/tam_34.htm with the text of the interview and http://mailinterviews.blogspot.com/ for some interviews or start at: http://www.iuoma.org/interview.html that explains the complete project).
In http://www.iuoma.org/stat_13.html you can even find the photo's of Ray's first two answers. The third answer never came. Ray commited suicide and that was the end. The results were published and this month the surprise arrived. A letter from a researcher at the Richard L. feigen & Co Estate (they have the largest Ray Johnson collection) discovered this letter of which he sent me a copy. It seems Ray did answer the 3rd question after all, but never came to sending it to me. Now you still can read it. He directed to Alison Knowles, whom I interviewed years later too (see: http://www.fluxusheidelberg.org/publications.html ).
Somehow all pieces fall into place with this last answer.

Mail from Roland Halbritter - Germany

Roland Halbritter's experiment arrived without any problem. No postage, and not even a card on which they would indicate that I have to pay something. They oly marked the card with T 65/70. So they noticed something was wrong, but nobody has consequences.

Mail from Jack Latteman - USA

The CD from Jack latteman arrived without any problems in Breda. Thanks for this lovely surprise!

Mail to Arttower - Germany

FACE as reference to www.facebook.com where a lot of mail-artists are active but sometimes don't find the time to actually send out the real mail-art.
