Contribution for MrColori - Netherlands

My contribution to the project in connection to Bruegel, a remake of the tower of Babel with letters. Notice the two babel's on both sides. The letters are sticked on an A3 sized reproduction of one of my drawings.

On the envelope I collages a few of Bruegel's ols paintings. He used to live in Breda some years. In the large church nearby us there hangs one of his larger paintings which we visit frequently

On the backside the Babeltower is made again with the name of Pieter Bruegel

Letters on Acrylic Painted envelopes

Starting in december 2014 I started with adding the names on the sidelines of the envelopes. For these I use special two-sided letters that form a message and/or name connected to the person that will receive the envelope.

It is the next fase is how the makking of the envelopes has developed. For this purpose I made a large set of envelopes where the printed acrylic rounds have placed in several layers on the envelopes. A single envelope takes a lot of stages before it is ready. It is also handcancelled with stamps before it goes onto its journey

Incoming from Heleen de Vaan - NL

The enveloppe above contained two wonderful rubberstamps designed by Heleen de Vaan. It is a gift for the TAM Rubberstamp Archive. Thank you Heleen!

Production

A technique I have been using for 30 years now: printing with acrylic paint on envelopes, layer by layer. Just like silkscreen printing, only no screen, but objects to transport the acrylic paint.
