The International Union of Mail-Artists is where the IUOMA stands for, but actually it is one of the aspects of the Mail-Art that Ruud Janssen has produced in the last 38 years. A lot has been written by him in this period and in his BLOG he writes about the most recent views and thoughts. For Snail-Mail write to: iuoma@outlook.com

Since Diane Keys is recycling some of the bits I sent her and I find the first traces on Facebook on several profiles, I thought I'd sent her some more things to work with.....

Mail from Ilmar Kruusamäe - Estonia
I met Ilmar Kruusamäe for the first time in 1991 just before the country became independent again and left the USSR. Also Ilmar visited me once in Tilburg decades ago when he was traveling through Europe. So I am glad to reconect on Facebook and see he is still doing well. Also see that postage in Estonia has become extreme high as well.

Mail-Art sealed with a kiss
Two envelopes arrived today. Both with no postage on it, but 'sealed with a kiss'. Must have been a special offer by the postal system of PostNL to deliver an envelope 'sealed with a kiss' on Valentinesday...... Well, that is my guess. Both envelopes arrived without any problem in Breda. Thank you both!

Some recent drawings
The last years I have been making a lot of drawings on a specific subject. How the Digital Future and the Analog Human try to work together and how there is sometimes a mismatch on what we believe is possible. Human elements in the digital world, visualized with Indian ink and Watercolours. You can have a better view of the hundreds of drawings at: http://www.ArtWanted.com/iuoma where I keep an online portfolio of my artworks (selection)
What I do with all these drawings? First of all I scan them and publish a set on Facebook and other digital networks. But also I sometimes make colour copies and use them as writing paper for outgoing mail-art. That way some prints end up in all kind of corners of the world.
And for the future; I am not sure. I guess the complete collection with lots of A4 and A5 drwaings would make a wonderful exhibitions somewhere, but as most of you know, the artworld isn't always looking out for yet another exhibition of an unknown artists.....
Outgoing Stampsheets february 2015

Sending out Cersorism Cards
Three envelopes are prepared and go out this weekend to Guy Bleus, Diane Keys and Mona Lisa. The red envelopes contain a card with my ink works that has been censored. I have used the term 'Censorism' before, and now started to document this online to. Will see what comes out of it. Just wanted to share the idea with others too.
The envelopes themselves were a gift from Moreno in Italy
Censorism now Digital
In the 90-ies I had this idea of making the "This part is Censored" sticker which I could use to censor certain things that I created. So self-censorship, but in an open way. I have used the sticker a lot in the 90-ies and saved one role for the archive. Then Facebook came, and the network moved to the digital platform. I decided to use the final role one more time to censor some things and explain and discuss the views. link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Censorism/906144762768959?ref=hl
Also started a group on the NING platform of IUOMA.
