Mail Art Congresses 1986

In a letter from Cees Francke (NL) I found this paper with photos of the two Mail Art Congresses that Cees visited in 1986. I was in the one held in Eeklo. Cees also liked to visit Eastern Europe (with his project Paradise Worker). I also found a paper that was passed on at bthe Eeklo Congress where mail-artists added something. A nice souvenir. This picture is high resolution. So enlarge and print to read the details..... Posted by Picasa

FACTSHEET 5 - offer

While packing my TAM-Archive for transport to Breda I sometimes have to make decisions on what should remain in the archive and what not. I have the Issues FACTSHEET 5 (connections to the 'underworld') edited by SethFriedman. The issues I have are: 45 up to 60 and number 62. After that the magazine slowly died out, and a rebirth (or online) might have happened these magazines might be interesting for asomeone who wants to know what was happening in the mid 90-ies. These magazines are now available for someone else. Each magazine has a colour cover, and at least is 130 pages thick. The total of 17 magazines weigh about 3 kilo's, so the postage will be the problem. Sending it outside Europe will cost about 30 Euro's. Inside Europenot that much different. So, if someone wants these magazines, please react quickly. Send me the money for the postage (after we have agreed I will send them) and the magazines are yours.......React within one week please. (I know that someone out there was looking for these Factsheet 5 issues, so please spread this news, last note: after a few days R.F. Cote from Canada asked for the issues, so they are now on their way to Canada)

First BRAIN CELL from Japan #1

Going through the archive one finds historic things. The FIRST BRAIN CELL from Ryosuke Cohen in Japan. When you go through the participant list (just click on image to enlage) you will notice that there are some oldies on the list. Five actually already passed away. Posted by Picasa

Jas W. Felter - Canada

Most of the online mail-artist might notg know Jas W. Felter from Canada. He is THE collector of artistamps and has a complete directory of all thos productions that are made worldwide. Back in 1995, when I was doing the mail-interviews, he was the one who offered me help with publishing the results on the internet. The result:

http://jas.faximum.com//library/lib_tam.htm

The site where most texts are published. He recently updated the list with my new address and e-mail address. A lot of work, which he did to help me again. Thanks James!

On my own site I link also to these interviews:

http://www.iuoma.org/interview.html

And there I have added the unfinished interviews as well. So if you want to read a bit of history in mail-art. The total is about 3000 pages when printed on paper....
