The International Union of Mail-Artists is where the IUOMA stands for, but actually it is one of the aspects of the Mail-Art that Ruud Janssen has produced in the last 38 years. A lot has been written by him in this period and in his BLOG he writes about the most recent views and thoughts. For Snail-Mail write to: iuoma@outlook.com

Bunny Shirt

On Ebay I was looking for Ray Johnson related items. Normally I trace something by Rain Rien then. To my surprise I found an offer for this T-Shirt. Seems they actually sell a few of them throug www.ebay.com (just look for Ray Johnson). Mail-Art is getting commercialized. Funny.
TAM Rubberstamp Archive

Roland Halbritter enlarged the sent stampsheet a bit and produced this poster for the 25 years celebration of the TAM Rubberstamp Archive. He published this photo on his blog after he discovered that I received the mailing. We both look on eachothers blog, but now tend to keep it a surprise to what we send to eachother......

Mail from Roland Halbritter - Germany

Roland Halbritter sent me this surprise package. A very large print for the 25 year celebration of the TAM Rubberstamp Archive. Also the 3 changed Fluxlist Europe PR-papers (see http://fluxlisteurope.blogspot.com/ ), some postcards, and an extreme small written note (I need glasses, I know now for sure).

arrived and I found the card I sent on the blog. It seems the receiver didn't see the bad meaning of the word STAX. Can you?

Posting 1096
Since I started this blog this is the 1096th posting. Quite a lot over the years. I have documented all postings in .PDF files which you can find at:
http://www.iuoma.org/iuomablogarchive.html
The archives are there to make sure all texts and imags are framed in time. A blog has all images from everywhere, so it can loose data easily.

Mail from Roland Halbritter - Germany

Roland sent me this wonderful CollageART Card. He already published it on his http://socks-stockings.blogspot.com/ blog but didn't mention to whom he is sending the card. I seem to be the lucky one.

Mail from Roland on its way

It is a strange thing. I can publish about the mail-art that is on its way to me and even publish the envelope. But actually the mail isn't here yet. I just collected it from Rollands blog and publish it here.

Pierre Restany
Letter from Ruggero Maggi - Italy

A letter from Ruggero Maggi arrived today in the P.O. Box. Inside lots of items, contribution to the TAM Rubberstamp Archive, other news from his Milan Art Center (founded in 1973 I believe). He is doing a special exhibition about Pierre Restany, a good friend of him too that passed away only recently.

Mail to Roland Halbritter - Germany

In a comment Roland let me know that the mail arrived today. A surprise. He wasn't able to digitize it because his camera didn't work, but here it is now for you to see. The letters were hand-painted. Took some time, but looks and feels quite well....... Another envelope that was on its way was with the artistamps I made for him. I hope he will use them too on his outgoing mail.
